Southend Council: Reject Sea Life centre expansion
Ask Southend Council in Essex (UK) to reject an application to expand the town's Sea Life Adventure Centre.
An Echo newspaper report outlined that the planned expansion is to make room for penguins, seals, crocodiles, meerkats and "creatures as yet unspecified".
Keeping animals in captivity for human entertainment is cruel and out-dated.
Contact Southend Council and ask them to reject the application. Tell them there are not only animal welfaer concerns but also fears that the development could have a negative impact on the foreshore which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
